This month Jodi, our Client Team Administrator, took part in our monthly spotlight. We caught up with her on various subjects, including what she gets up too when she is not at work and her love for ghost-hunting.

Can you give us a two sentence bio about yourself?

I am a very open-minded and independent red-head that’s slightly mad! I am passionate about many current affairs and love keeping spirits high.

What do you do at MLG Healthcare on a daily basis?

I support the Client Team in their daily tasks and help make sure the admin side of things all runs smoothly.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

I love learning new things, so coming into this industry from a background that never involved medical recruitment means I never stop learning, especially when I work with some highly experienced colleagues. I also like that no two days are the same – even when the tasks I’m doing are! Every day there’s something new that comes along, keeping the job interesting and ensuring I’m always on my toes.

What advice were you given in your career that has stuck with you?

When I left sixth-form, I never really knew what I wanted to do as a career, but I remember an old manager telling me that you’re never too old to learn. The more you open your mind up to, the wiser you become in most aspects of life.

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I remember my first ever dream job being a palaeontologist for years, but as I got older, I always changed my mind. I always had a flame for performing arts, so I just constantly wanted to perform!

How do you relax when you’re not at work?

My favourite pastime is writing, and I’m also an avid reader. If I’m not doing either of these, you will find me in bed watching any crime or nature documentaries you can find on Netflix.

What accomplishment are you most proud of?

The accomplishment I’m most proud of would be when I finally left my comfort zone and decided to make my writing public to people. I always kept the poems and entries I write my little secret as they mean so much to me! To show people my work and not be anxious about what they thought was a big step for me that I’m very proud of.

What is your most treasured possession?

I actually don’t have any treasured possessions, per se; I am not really a materialistic person. My family mean the most to me, and I hold dearest to me the memories I make an impact I have on other people.

Tell us something different about yourself?

I really enjoy ghost hunting and have always wanted to stay overnight in a haunted house or hotel.

Summary

A huge thank you to Jodi for taking part, and we look forward to next months Spotlight, where we will be talking to another team member of the MLG Healthcare.
